Mogadishu 05,Nov.07 ( Sh.M.Network)-The
highest-ranking officer in the lower Shabelle region of Somalia
said that the government now lifts the relief ban imposed on the
region under his control after dialogue between the government and
the regional authority of lower Shabelle.
The provincial commissioner of lower shabelle region Mr. Abdi kadir
Mohamed Noor told radio Shabelle that the short-term relief halts
was nothing other than simple misunderstanding between the government
and the humanitarian relief organizations.
Mr. Abdikadir said that the government relief ban
is entirely lifted from the whole of lower Shabelle region after
consultation with the department of nation security.
The lower Shabelle region is where most of the fled
people of Mogadishu reached after fleeing from the capital this
displaced people showed great concern during the periods of the
relief stoppage.
On
the other hand there is unloading this morning at Marka port, this
is relief to the Somali people brought by a ship hired by W F P.
